Ashlee Simpson
An
American pop rock singer–songwriter and actress, Ashlee
Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas. At the
age of three, Ashlee began studying classical ballet. At the
age of eleven, Simpson took admission to the School of
American Ballet in New York City.
By 2002 Ashlee Simpson was a celebrity in her own right, appeared as
a regular cast member on the television series 7th Heaven
and also starred in film “The Hot Chick”. In 2004, Ashlee
Simpson released her first album titled “Autobiography” that
was debuted at number one in the U.S. and was certified
triple platinum.
She has also appeared alongside her sister on Saved by the
Bell, The Donny & Marie Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The
View, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and a Disney Christmas
show and concert special.
Simpson also appeared on a reality show “Newlyweds” that was
about the married life of Jessica and her then-husband Nick
Lachey aired by MTV. In 2004 Simpson received the "Song of
the Summer" Teen Choice Award for "Pieces of Me," as well as
the "Fresh Face" award. In addition to this, she also won a
Billboard Award for New Female Artist in the same year.
Simpson enjoys spending her free time vintage shopping,
writing and recording music and hanging out with friends.
